あなたが人ではなく、自分の価値観で生きだそうとした時、

心と頭は分かっていても、一歩目を踏み出すのが大変よね

保証も確証もない

ましてはやったことがない

経験のない世界に飛び込むのは人間にとって怖いこと

よっぽど常に前向きで、テンションが高い人でないと

その一歩がなかなか踏み出せないのよね

本当にこれでいいのかと、何度も後ろを振り返っちゃうわよね

過去の失敗とか思い出しちゃったりして

天気なんか悪いと余計にメランコリーな気分になるのよ

でもね、「はじめの一歩」は踏み出してみるべきよね

それが成功するか失敗になるかは分からないけど

自分自身の価値観で生きられるようになった一歩は踏み出してみるべきだと

思うのよ

今までは人の価値観で物事を選んでいたんでしょ？

だから「なにか違う」と思っていたのよ

そしてあなたはそれを演じきれなかったから、自分自身に戻ってみたんでしょ

そこで出た一つの結論は、行動してみるべきだと思うのよ

あなたが創りはじめたストーリーだから

シーンを決めていくのもあなた

違うなら創り直せばいいし、選び直せばいいでしょ

考えて悩み抜くのもいいけど

せっかくだから他人だけは基準にしないでちょうだいよ

あなたの人生はあなたが創るのよ

さあ、そろそろあなたもその一歩を踏み出してみたらどう？

When you try to live according to your own values rather than those of others, even when you know your own heart and mind, taking that first step is always difficult.

There's no guarantee or positive proof, not to mention the fact that you've never done it before. Diving into a world in which you have no experience is quite a scary thing for a human being.

If you're not extremely positive, or someone with a lot of guts you might not be able to take that first step. You're always looking back reaffirming to yourself that you're doing the right thing.

If you keep remembering past failures, when the weather is bad you just get melancholy.

But you should still try to take that first step.

You don't know whether you'll succeed or fail, but I think you should try to take that first step and live according to your values

Up until now you've been choosing according to other people's values, right?

You felt uneasy with it. You couldn't keep playing the part properly any more, so you tried to start being yourself.

One conclusion that can be drawn from this is that you should try to do something about it.

It's a story you've begun to write, so it's you who gets to determine the scenes.

If it's not what you want, you can start over, choose again.

It's OK to think through all your worries, but it's something important so don't just hold yourself to other people's standards.

You've got to make your own life.
